What is a municipality/district office?
In addition to having a visa and other permits, it is mandatory for all the visitors, but also for Polish nationals to register their stay in a municipality of your city/town.

- a rental contract (of the apartment/room etc.) or hotel/dormitory reservation (if applies)
- ID card/passport (for non-EU citizens – passport!)
- for family members → documents confirming the relation (e.g. marriage certificate, birth certificate) – translated by a certified Polish translator
- for third-country nationals (not EU citizens) -> a visa or residence permit
